Yes. And the ones with the full zip legs are worth the even higher premium

How does the zipper do with rubbing inside boots? I wear woody max mucks and figure they will rub me ?

I get the 3/4 length ones and have not had any problems but don’t wear tall boots often. They are pretty small zipper tracks so I don’t think it would be a problem. No issues in my waders

Yes.

What I don't know is if all merino is equal, or that people don't sell cheap wool and call it merino. The Minus 33 stuff is very, very good, and I've tried most synthetics and everything the military throws at soldiers, which is typically junk.

I say yes. I don’t wear them much around here, but Merino kept my scrawny arse warm in Montana

I have first lite and it’s laid out pretty well and flat I have never noticed them rubbing or uncomfortable.

Very worth it. I don't wear them as my next to skin though. I wear synthetic as my first layer. Keeps me drier, which keeps me warmer.

I wear them in my sleeping bag when I backpack. I tried other stuff but Merino is just the best

Yes…I’ll let you in on a little secret…stop by your local thrift store and I’ll bet you find several wool sweaters/shirts on the rack. I picked up 4 at the start of this deer season for $20ish in one trip. 3 merino blends and a cashmere.

They are kinda fancy, so I wear them under my normal camo….if I didn’t all the does would flock to me.

I have a pair of the zip off kuiu bottoms and was a little worried about that. No problems with my wader boots or regular rubber boots.

Also watch eBay. You’ll catch some quality used stuff that’s marketed to skiers and hikers out west that are quality 100% merino. I have multiple shirts I’ve bought used off eBay for <$40 that are awesome. Might have to get blue or white but it doesn’t matter for a base layer.
