Strong possibility that LSU coaching staff told him you might want to start looking because we don’t think you will ever start here. That stuff happens all the time behind closed doors. Recruiting rankings are hard to nail on many of these QBs.

Throwing the BS flag on this one.

I have a hard time that any coach ever tells a kid coming off of a redshirt year that the coaches don’t think he will ever start.

Do you have any idea the changes mentally and physically happen to kids from 18-21? Injuries? Other transfers? You are simply wrong about this one, earth.

Just saw your response. Interesting take you have but I’m 100% right on the fact coaches tell players that they will never start and if they want to play they might better look elsewhere. Redshirt freshman makes no difference. It’s called processing a player. Coach Saban does it year after year. Miles did too. If coaches think they severely blundered a player evaluation in high school while recruiting them sometimes it’s in the best interest of both parties to move on. Nothing wrong with honesty. Do you know any former LSU players? Ask them about coaches processing players. To deny it doesn’t happen is just not accurate.
