And Muncie. Heck, even Larry Burton had a great MNF game after going over to the Chargers (but not much after that).

Different ownership, but the Chargers fired Schottenheimer after going 14-2

Same family owns the Chargers now. The old man, Alex, is dead, but Dean was running things even back then. One of his kids might be handing day to day now, but Dean is the chairman and primary owner.

The Chargers #1 projects to be 24th or lower. My hope has been that trading Payton's rights gets us enough assets to make a strong run at a young franchise type QB. Not sure that low of a pick helps us significantly in those efforts.

Still hoping it’s Cardinals. That pick could net us Stroud.

Man, I have a hard time seeing someone trade a top 5 pick. We would most likely have to send a pick back

A lot of the talk ahead of this draft is the QB group, while stronger than last year, isn't that deep and the 2024 draft should have more franchise QBs available. If true, outside of a top 5 pick, the team won't have enough to get the franchise QB. The key may be to load up on 2024 picks and just plan for a shitty year (keep Allen) to tank for your young franchise type QB.

IMO, the biggest key is avoiding becoming one of those teams that is drafting QBs every 3-4 years because they are taking flyers on the next hype only to watch them bust. Need to be strategic and plan when to go after your guy, even if it requires some painful years inbetween

I hope we get a high enough 1st rounder to then trade it for more 2024 pics and be able to move to #1 that year.
Easy right lol

I'm my fantasy world...

The bears lose this week, Texans win, and this lands bears #1 pick. The bears decide to draft young, and this makes fields available. The saints trade Sean to Chicago for fields.
I also get free beer at the super dome in my fantasy world. It's a nice place

After last years Dolphins debacle, the league will hammer a team doing purely sham interviews

It’s what the league invited ramming this bs down teams throats. If they interview one minority and trade for CSP, they followed the rule. If the league comes down on them, I’d take them to court.

But that was the same talk last year. Everyone was looking to 2023 as the strong franchise QB draft. Next year always seems better.

So far looks like they may have been right, I know it's way too early to tell.

Pickett & Purdy (more the system than him) are the only ones that look like they will do anything.

I think Howell, Ridder & Corral are the only ones that will get legitimate shots to show what they have.

I know someone who would literally have a stroke if this happened. He thinks the Chargers coach is the dumbest coach to ever live.

CSP and Brady go to the Cardinals. We get the 4th pic
Then if we can get a sh!t ton of picks for it we stash them for the 2024 draft and get our franchise QB..
Easy.

Not to mention Payton was literally robbed out of another super bowl that I would put my nuts on the Saints would have boat raced the patriots or at the very minimum scored more that a fricking field goal.
And the total frick job Goodell did to the Sean and the Saints on multiple occasions. Bounty gate also fricked the Saints for multiple years during prime Drew.

It could be the Cardinals, but I guarantee it won’t be their top 4 pick.
