The Stand Up Republicans Need To Keep Voting Against McCarthy Til The Rest Cave

Right now McCarthy supporters and GOPe are saying it’s only McCarthy, they will not vote for anyone else.
So keep voting against him. Let them know there will be no Republican Speaker until they break and agree it’s some other Republican or none. For as long as it takes, for as much humiliation as it takes. Let them know business as usual is done forever.
Then you will see someone else step in to fill the void. Someone like Jordan or someone else less swampy. Make sure they are accountable to measures, bake that in.
Before someone else can be considered though the GOPe and McCarthy supporters need to get it beat through their skulls that it will never be McCarthy.

I’d rather see the RINOs allow a Dem to be speaker than to have McCarthy in there pretending to be an R

What's going to happen is Thursday end of day or Friday McCarthy will work with dems to pass a resolution allowing the person with the most votes, period, to win the vote. This will force the holdout Republicans to either vote for McCarthy or accept Jeffries as speaker.
It would be suicide for them to not vote for McCarthy at that point.

I’d vote for the Democrat in that case.
Whatever it takes to make Republican politicians listen and hold them accountable.
If McCarthy and his lot are willing to threaten and force suicide, take them up on it.

Call his bluff or let him die by his own glad handing with Democrats. If he refuses to step aside and makes a deal with Democrats to assure Jeffries wins, let him explain why he has too much pride to step the frick aside. Why are you this desperate for power?

At best the GOP is split 10% crazy and 90% sane.
The 20 that are not budging are making the GOP and all who support them look very foolish and weak.
It sends a message to the world that the conservative movement has lost the ability to govern a country.

Can congress pass resolutions without a speaker? Would that move to a vote for speaker pro tempor?

Another alter to add to the list of terrible alters. tPT is being overrun by alters from DU, paid shills and warmongers from the OT Ukraine thread.

Did some research:
In 1849, congress spent 19 days electing a speaker. After 59 ballots, the house resolved the majority mechanics and voted across plurality.
Also, in 1856, congress voted 129 times until they also opted to vote plurally rather than majority.

That would be pretty stupid for everyone involved.

I love when Dems tell republicans what they should do.
