Except this doesn’t happen, they move the week 18 game and play it. There is no precedent of the nfl cancelling a game

It doesn’t matter if there’s precedent… the rules are written and likely have been for the entire history of the NFL.

Just spoke to a rep from University of Cincinnati Medical Center who says the hospital does NOT anticipate giving an update tonight on Damar Hamlin’s status.

I don't think anyone played anything the week after 9/11

Here’s an excerpt from the gofundme.
Their goal was $2,500.
They’re at $968,000 now.

As I embark on my journey to the NFL, I will never forget where I come from and I am committed to using my platform to positively impact the community that raised me. I created The Chasing M's Foundation as a vehicle that will allow me to deliver that impact, and the first program is the 2020 Community Toy Drive.

This campaign gives you the opportunity to contribute to our first initiative and positively impact children who have been hardest hit by the pandemic. 100% of the funds raised will go toward the purchase of toys for kids in need.

I’m taking that as good news. To me, no way they’d leave if something bad was imminent

Can they not skip next weekend and just not have the pro bowl the week before the super bowl so division championships could be then?
They could I suppose

His Gofundme account is for a community toy drive from 2020. I’m sure everyone donating just isn’t reading, right? It’s currently $939,000.

I think people understand it’s for something that was important to him.

Here's hoping. If I wasn't allowed in the hospital, I would probably want to be with my family.

Well, this is in stark contrast from the other guy who is supposedly close to him.

While you pray for Damar say one for Tee Higgins too. Just being involved in the play can wreck your mentals and emotions. Pray for them all.

That was a different situation because no one played so it moving the whole season back was fairly simple.

If Hamlin is stable tomorrow, do you think they won’t gaf about handing over the #1 seed?

no, i really don't... something happened as traumatic as what happened tonight? and you think they'll be in their right mind by tomorrow, regardless of him surviving? bro...

100% agree. However, their goal was $2500.

The whole season was pushed back a week. They had to work out a deal with the venue hosting the Super Bowl that year since they had another event scheduled

We have become so sanctimonious as a society, especially with social media, that those things seem unfathomable. Show must go on. It always does.

True

It’s a rough calll for the nfl, but I think the last thing they want to do is make a decision that comes off as “unfair” or “penal” to the bills in any way whatsoever. And calling it a tie and saying we will go by win pct would do just that

Just seems like that would put them on the ultimate media buzzsaw
