Snowboarding complete opposite. You have to progress and practice ALOT to get the basics and will assuredly have bumps and bruises along the way. Once it clicks though, you can advance quickly.

I love skiing. Pretty much love any vacations that involves being active..to me, relaxing is not relaxing. I relax while climbing a mountain, on a run, playing golf, skiing, exploring, etc.

We got to the beach, setup our spot and I sit down and open a beer and 45 seconds later I am looking for something to do.

Definitely anxiety driven but being able to just slowly move down a slope, even if it's the same exact run time after time, is quite enjoyable to me.

Plus, we love vacations where we can meet new people from around the world. We encourage our daughter to make friends in ski school and on the slopes. We like meeting new people as well and learning about where they are from, what travels they like, getting new ideas, etc.

Being isolated and just sitting down not doing anything is more torture to me than anything else.
