All true. Well, skiing is easier to pick up the basics anyway. A reasonably athletic person can do it in a day. Getting really good though takes a long time.
Snowboarding complete opposite. You have to progress and practice ALOT to get the basics and will assuredly have bumps and bruises along the way. Once it clicks though, you can advance quickly.
