Yup- the common thought is that skiing is easier to learn but more difficult to advance, whereas snowboarding is harder to learn but easier to advance.

I’m nearing my 40’s and I’m dedicated to snowboarding moving forward. I’ve done both, but nothing beats that feeling of flow and rhythm on a snowboard.

It’s also great that step in binding tech is becoming more mainstream. Us older folk can give the joints some relief by using Burton step ons, Nidecker Supermatics, and Clew clip in bindings.
