That Georgia Tech team was also loaded. Had Dale not mismanaged LSU to a third-place finish in the SEC, they might have gotten a higher regional seed than 5 and not had to play Georgia Tech in the second round. And that GT team got to the Final Four.

I've always maintained this. We should have been a one or two seed with that team. But still we had a 17-point lead at one point in that game and blew it. And yes that Tech team was loaded. Dennis Scott, Kenny Anderson and Brian Oliver.
