Exactly. When I was a kid it was a big deal for a team to make it to one of the top bowls. It used to mean something to make it to one of the top bowls like the Rose Bowl.

I remember when Northwestern made that magical run to make it to the '96 Rose Bowl. I can remember watching a Jake Plummer led Arizona State team lose a hard fought game to Ohio State in the '97 Rose Bowl. But off of the top of my head I couldn't tell you who played in last the last few Rose Bowls. That's a shame. The traditions that made college football so good for so long are gone.
