Are you saying instead of a bowl game at the end of the season, that it decided who you played in week 1/week 0 of the following year?
Now that would be interesting. The games would actually matter again.

IMO, this is the only way to make the Bowls relevant again. A lot of the Bowl sites already host neutral site openers.Just replace those with the official bowls.
