They can't run the ball nor protect him very well. He's getting rid of the ball early at times to try to protect himself from getting hit & it's throwing off the timing with his receivers.

Watch the Patriots and Titans playoff game on YouTube, or the Patriots at Texans game from late in that same season on YouTube. Tom looked worse down the stretch in that season than he has this year. He’s not washed, he’s on a mission to protect himself for bigger and better things.
