In that he’s a CEO/Face of the Program/Recruiting Head Coach, sure. But Prime strikes me as smarter and more likely to sustain his effort than O. As soon as he tasted real success he let go of the rope and stopped giving a shite. That, and he handled hires about as poorly as humanly possible his last two seasons. Prime wasn’t that way as a player. I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t as a coach, either.
This is no guarantee of success for him, but I don’t see him falling prey to the same things that killed O’s career, so he and O are only alike in having similar program roles.
