We watched this the other night, pretty tragic story. Wouldn't have been us, though, people nowadays have been conditioned to ignore actual signs of danger. Sulfur discolored rocks, a lake of acid, hot bubbling earth, venting steam, black smoke, etc., etc. The wife and I would have never set foot on an active volcano island, we've been to Pompeii. Don't mess with nature, you might get Krakatoa-ed.

Sometimes we need to be reminded that nature, not man, runs the show.

Reminds me of the lady who foolishly wandered too deep into gator infested waters. Forget the specifics, but her last words were ' maybe this wasn't a good idea'.
