Such a great documentary, eruptions and blizzards are so incredibly powerful, fast, and all-encompassing

I will say the husband of the couple who was like “if I’d known the risks, no way would I have done this”. GTFO, you didn’t know an active volcano could erupt?

I watched and it was well done. Yes very tragic. I believe they said it erupts every 3 years and they decided to go on the island on year 3?? That wasn’t very smart. I also don’t get what’s so appealing about being so close to a volcano.

My GF and I's exact thoughts. If you don't understand the inherent danger of being on an island that is an active volcano, then I don't know what to tell ya.

Blizzards are underrated. I'm in the Lake Michigan lake effect zone. We've gotten about 18 inches of Lake effect snow the last 18 hours or so. More importantly than that, there have been steady 40mph winds for the last 12 hours. Temps have been below zero since yesterday.

I grew up in Denham Springs so I have experienced enough hurricanes. I've never been more afraid to step outside than the last 24 hours. Watching the snow gust like this for hours and hours on end is humbling. I haven't been able to see the neighbors house across the street since last night it's been that consistent. I've never experienced a storm like this before.
