We just need our RBs to stY healthy and perform up to their cababilities.

I think we are good on RB. I agree with LB probably safety also. I'm sure they waiting until after spring to evaluate to see what they need.

Georgia and others in the CFP are going to have lots of players hit the portal after the playoffs. Just waiting to see how that shakes out

We need a top end RB not complimentary backs. Goodwin can't stay healthy. Williams is solid but he's not a high end SEC back. Cain is a depth guy. Emery is a disappointment. You have 2 freshman who you don't know what they can do.
You go after a big RB target and then let guys like Williams/Cain compliment him. We need a top end running game again. Goodwin might be that back but he's injury prone so it's hard to say and he's not reliable enough otherwise. Our run game has been abysmal since Clyde left.

You're talking about a really high end back, really unlikely to find in the portal.
I agree with most others, we're prety good back there, should spend the remaining spots elsewhere.
I think the biggest thing you're going to see is a big leap by the OL. Very young and all returning with super talented guys pushing for time. Our OL was okay this year, could be excellent/elite in 2023 & 24. THAT will turn into a huge boost for the running game.

So? I don't see him or Jackson being high end SEC backs. They'll be solid contribution. We need an elite one when they hit the portal to compliment JD's legs. it shouldn't be a difficult sell because he'll open the run game up for them. 1 season to make their stock go even higher. A 1 and done guy.

It's not going to be 6 RBs by the time fall camp opens and none of them have exactly lit the SEC on fire alongside injuries.

It’s as if people forget how we were relying on Noah Cain to be our bell cow late in the season.
Emery is gone. Goodwin dating back to HS has proven you can expect to miss him half of every season. You cant rely on freshmen not named Guice or Fournette to be every down backs.

But how many games did we have 6 rb’s available to play? Better yet, how many RB’s were available for every game this past season?

It's a much bigger need than this board realizes. Emery likely isn't coming back either. You can't rely on 2 freshman there yet. Not trying to dunk on our RBs but none have been impressive they need someone who separates. Can't really say with Goodwin. He looks like he could be a top end SEC back but he's incredibly injury prone even dating back to HS so he's unreliable. He's been injured both years at LSU.

My guess is I think we will sign an Offensive Lineman/ Center type, RB, maybe a proven safety, and an experienced LB.
