I wouldn’t, just out of concern the salt would get into places and cause corrosion

Just run the engine for a few minutes til it warms up enough for the defroster to do its thing. Once the defroster starts to loosen the ice up, it should scrape right off…or you can wait a few more minutes for the defroster to melt it all
