Oh, N.O. very much still has a mafia presence. If you think that the only gambling in the City is in the casinos, you are either very naive or just ignorant of the reality of illegal gambling dens all over the City. Or the number of bookies scattered throughout the Quarter and / or both sides of the river. Or who owns all the flat, one story parking lots throughout the City.
