Does your monitor allow multiple inputs? If so, no need for a KVM if you're not concerned about also switching the mouse/keyboard/etc. I've used some of the ~$30 KVMs from Amazon and none have lasted more than 9-12 months and most die sooner.

No unfortunately, yeah all the cheap KVMs look like crap. I was looking at some of the professional ones like from Startech in the 100-200 range.
