Dude what are you going to do players have been opting out for years, granted it was normally 1st rounders.
If it's not a playoff its just an exhibition game.
Purdue lost its 1 reciever and Qb .

Pretty much. It also doesn’t help that there are 40+ plus bowl games where there were only 18 in the mid 90s. Used to be a reward for a good season. Hard to be mad at the players for opting out when many teams are playing in stadiums that are less 50% full. Lot of fans opting out too.

If that’s the standard, then 95% of all college football games are “just an exhibition” bc most teams are either never in the playoff hunt or are out of it by mid season.
So I guess we can start expecting opt outs in the regular season. At first it’ll just be the cupcake games and then it’ll be conference games. I mean, why not?
