While I agree low availability has made prices high. Once/if manufacturing catches up I can’t see dealerships keeping stock low to inflate prices. Some dealership will stock up and sell in volume below MSRP and still make just as much profit while generating incredible traffic/visibility for their dealership brand name.

I picked up a 2004 Sport Edition 4Runner for my kid for $5k. Paint is rough, but mechanically it is very sound. His brother is driving a 2006 Ridgeline that we already owned for a couple of years. Owning an older car is a rite of passage for new drivers.
