UGA had not let up by the time Nuss entered the game. Thats the narrative the media ran with to justify UGA being dominant.
Nuss was throwing against starters until just over 4 minutes left in the 4th. Everyone calling SB classless going for the 2pt conversion, its bcuz Kirby wasn't sure if his D would prevent Nuss from possibly tying the game at some point. He was worried from what he saw of Nuss.
Yes, Nuss had some bad throws but he also had some very good ones. Ppl keep speaking on how much JD5 can improve from this year to next, imagine the improvement Nuss could make by receiving QB1 snaps in practice AND getting real game-time reps. Nuss appeara to have a higher ceiling than Daniels. They both have essentially received the same coaching and Nuss looked light years better at passing than Daniels. He went thru his progressions faster, made decisions faster, and had much better arm talent.
JD5 had started 3 years prior to LSU and was considered to be a 7th round draft pick, at best.
The ONLY attribute he has over Nuss is experience. I think we'd be fine if Nuss left. I say that, bcuz I also think Nuss is too talented to sit the bench behind Daniels. I could see if we had Bryce Young as our starter. Man, JD5 is pretty good but no way does what he's shown indicates he's a better passer than Nuss. Nuss should transfer and get a starting spot. LSU would still be fine. Sometimes its just best for both parties.

The starters were also in the game against Missouri and Kentucky. The issue is the passion and focus of the players given the circumstances.
