It’s the shut up and take it crowd. Just go with the flow, babe. Having a 9-3 season ain’t that bad…

That’s about what we get with #5.
Jesus Christ

Yes, after 2 straight years of non-winning football, where our coach makes an arse out of himself insulting teams (sissy blue uniforms) and then we proceed to get our arse kicked, and half the roster bails due to the dysfunction;
YES, I take 9-3 and run with it. Consecutive years even, just to be sure we're not about to backslide again.

We have a lot of positions in worse shape than QB, still. Would be nice for "DBU" to have some corners we didn't get in the portal. Linebackers who stop the run. RBs who fricking scare the opposing team more than they scare us fans.

Can Daniels win a title here? I don't know. Can he improve? Yes. He's got the arm, he's got great running. Early in the year he was hitting guys who dropped it. Maybe he got a little gun-shy then, knowing he could probably pick up 8-10 yds on a scramble instead of facing 2nd and 10 after a drop. The drops seemed to go away for some players, Taylor since midseason and Boutte at the end.
You get Boutte, Nabers, and Taylor together and playing right, and everyone comfortable and in sync, next season could be a lot different.

Meh...JD5 is decent. But if you objectively view our QB's, they played about a half each against the same opponent and looked completely different.

JD5 actually played a really good game in the 1st half. He was making passes that he wasn't even attempting the previous several games. He hit WR in stride and was pretty decisive. However, that's why so many fans are frustrated by him. It would be one thing if he wasn't talented enough to make the throws, it seems like he just chooses not to pull the trigger. That definitely held the offense back this year.

Nuss came in and showed what the offense could look like with a QB pulling the trigger. He is still kind of careless with the ball but that can be corrected with coaching. Nuss was more decisive and went through his progressions much faster. He also showed more arm talent than JD5. Honestly, for many outside of LSU, it was their 1st glimpse of Nuss but they saw enough to know the kids too talented to be on the bench. Yes, JD5 can move the ball with his legs but that's because he can't move it well enough with solely his arm.

JD5 may very well be QB1 next year. Unless he stops being hesitant and starts improving with his progressions, we'll still be a 9/10 win team not in the playoffs. Right now, Nuss could easily start for half the teams in the SEC. He has so much potential and appears to have a higher ceiling than JD5.
