The only thing I can take solace in is that fans have no say in who we start. JD is so far ahead of everyone and it’s not even close.

This.

1) Howard cannot be evaluated. He hasn’t played a down. So it’s impossible to say what we would “lose” if he transferred.
2) “Nuss” made no real contribution this year. He was ineffective at best and a liability at worst. No sensible coach would start him unless he was your only option. So, if he transferred? No loss.
3)JD carried this team on offense. He willed it down the field on more than one occasion and gave us what little hope we had against UGA. His departure , for any reason, will be a severe setback. Leaving this offense in the hands of either an incompetent or inexperienced QB. Not a good thing.
It’s embarrassing to read posters saying that we should sacrifice 4-5 games so “Nuss” can learn what JD already knows: how to protect the football and score. Final query: what if the coaches do what these posters want but “Nuss” doesn’t improve? Suppose you get what you see? We’re screwed.
Simply put, there is no real comparison among these quarterbacks. Daniels is far and away the best in that room. It cannot be debated intelligently.
