I am at work and don't have time to do a search. So save it! Anyone know if there is any truth to Walk-On's selling out this weekend to a Bama radio show??? Heard they are broadcasting there Fri and Sat.

Walks On's has had visiting team's radio crew broadcast before. I don't know if they do it weekly or just on occasion. V-Tech crew as there last season. They staged them in the restaurant (not on the big stage), didn't have a crowd around them. It was really no big deal.

Walk On's sucks anyways! They kick Borden's out of their Tailgate deal for Miss State, even though Borden's paid to sponser 98.1 for the whole year there. What losers.

The atmosphere isn't bad to watch a game, but the food is VERY average.

thats fine. there are things that i do like to order.

but i like walk-ons more than pretty much any place i have gone for gameday. if i am not going to the stadium i will be at walk-ons.

i drive in from houston just to tailgate and then i make my way to walk-ons for the game.

Oh hell no, lets start a boycott of Walk-On's. Can't be having one of BR's premier dining places allow another school to broadcast from there. That would be harmful and hard to swallow. The nerve of Brandon to allow this to happen.

here in alabama, 92 zew the bama sports carrier had said they were gonna be at walk-ons, but the owner has now turned them down due to the tiger faithful complaints. so they are now gonna broadcast from the Seridan hotel

they are making a huge issue of this on wnsp in mobile. so one caller said how would the bama people react if lsu went to one of thier sports bars and took over. the broadcaster had no answer and another caller called in and said it wouldn't matter because lsu takes over the local bars everywhere they go. haha

Let me guess. LSU priced you out of the stadium.

Can't speak for him but many of our fans tailgate/watch the game from outside the stadium by choice.

Matter of fact, my sister was planning on dumping season tickets, getting an RV and parking pass to do just that.

One advantage, you never have to had a drink all day.

I actually think Walk On's kind of blows too. The food's not very good and it's almost 4 bucks for a dang domestic light beer. You can get an imperial pint (18 oz) of Abita for similiar price with superior food at Chimes. And, they don't have the other teams radio show going on.

I think Ivar's food destroys Walk On's grub as well.

That said, I'm glad Walk On's has come around since people really seem to like it and it has given me more bar space at Chimes and Ivar's.

Talking about it right now on 98.1. They uninvited the station from Bama because of heat from Tiger fans.

Some of the best and biggest wings in town and fried chicken fingers are slamming at Ivars, the talent at walk ons makes up for the mediocre food
