Clemson made the change and offense got instantly better. All the DJ fans were blaming play calling, WRs, and OL. Funny how all those problems disappeared after the change. Big difference is they started giving the "backup" a lot more 1st team reps. Now, let the intellectually dishonest start downvoting!!

Nick Saban did the unthinkable and pulled heisman contender QB at half of the National Championship for a true freshman.

I think JD was the right choice at the beginning of the season. He was the safer option while our young OL and defense got their sea legs. Later in the year and moving forward, I think Nuss has more upside.

The competition this spring should be the best since Davey, Nall, Booty.

I think I named the 3 guys correctly.

DJ U sucked last year and this year. Klubnik was also the #1 QB in his class.

Not even remotely similar to a QB leading a rebuilt transfer team to winning the SEC west.

Nuss has thrown a few good passes and a few awful ones. His stats end there.

We got to have some legitimate explosiveness to the dang offense which will require a change at QB.

You morons act like our offense struggled with daniels. Guy played great all year and his running game was great. nuss truly sucked when given a chance turning the ball over regularly. has a great arm but and can make all the throws. bad thing is he turns the ball over constantly and was the reason he didnt win the job in the first place

JDs legs were pretty damn explosive at times this year.

Its amazing how after 1 game Nuss and the Clem QBs are
all of a sudden the next great QBs.Haven`t we watched
enough football to know once an opponent gets film everything changes and the #2 qb now is the guy.

Look, you obviously do not know what you are saying. The problem with Daniels at QB are the plays that HE LEFT ON THE FIELD in game after game. He cannot execute the offense. A run first QB is a LIABILITY, but you evidently cannot see that.

Nuss needs reps that should not be wasted on JD. If BK sticks with him that is on him.

It did against Florida St (first game, understandable), Auburn, Arkansas (supposedly had the flu, makes sense), and A&M.

Offense was great against Florida, Ole Miss, and Bama.

He did. Until this last game.

Daniels was obviously the correct choice to begin the season. He was dynamic in some of the games and for some reason looked confused in others. He wasn’t great all year, but is a main reason the team performed well above expectations.

Nuss had looked crappy until Georgia. He’s still young while Daniels has a ton of experience. Daniels main issue was obviously going deep, seeing what Nuss did has people understandably excited. Can he cut down turnovers, who knows.

Hopefully one guy steps up next year and gives a consistent passing game every game.

Yes,

People need to actually go look at JD's season stats. I think he's actually had the 2nd best season of any LSU starter outside of Burrow's God Year 2019. Not saying JD doesn't have faults, but he's a very talent running QB. His weakness is his limited field of view, and lack of progressions and tendency towards safer/shorter passes towards the sidelines.

Look man, do you know of any player that can out run a thrown football? Good. Neither do I. Explosiveness comes primarily from passes. It is that simple, friend.

True, but at the same time, air raid offenses just don’t work either. Are they fun to watch? Sure. Do they win championships against real defenses? Nope.

Sticking in the spirit of the OP, Davey sucked in 1999 until the Arkansas game and then it was as if the lightbulb came on. And we saw a different qb from there on out. For some reason the SEC Championship kind of feels that way for a lot of us (with Nuss.)

That pace and style of offense was downright scary and unlike anything we've seen in a couple of years. I would love to come back to that for an entire game and see what we could do with that.

Lol he brought things to team also like a running game that was very good with a sub par running game he also had a very high completion percentage with minimal turnovers. Just saying those things are huge. If nuss is the qb this year I guarantee y we don’t win as many games as what we won with Daniels

Do you know any footballs that can catch themselves?

JD is a lot more productive QB than DJ. The numbers aren't even close

Our RBs averaged 5.5ypc and had 24 TDs. How is that bad?

I don't think people realize that the RBs actually did a pretty good job with limited carries.
