If prime comes in and offers one of your four stars $250,000 when you have valued every four-star at about maybe $100,000 each why wouldn’t one want to leave every now and then we don’t have unlimited funds.

Oh come on. He's coaching at Colorado. We're not talking about USCw or Michigan. He doesn't have millions to blow on NIL. Colorado wouldn't be 1-11 right now if there was that kind of fan base support. Name brand is the only recruiting ace has up his sleeve, and best of luck turning that into actual results for anybody who isn't a CB.

Maybe I should have said it explicitly rather than just implying it, but there's a lot of projection with the media coverage of Deion Sanders. These kids were born in 2004-2006. Deion Sanders played his last down of NFL football in 2005, and the last year he was a consistent starter was 2000. The vast majority of the kids don't even know who he is, and the most of the ones who do know who he is know who he is the same way you or I know Red Grange. Second hand and on other people's word.

But CO and Prime are more liable to go all in on one or two key guys. Four star DEs are rare in CO. We have em all the time.

So they have less money. But they are less likely to spread it around. A big time player is worth more to them.
