All major college championships are on a Monday. Not sure why, but I remember them saying something about that. CFP Championship, basketball finals, game 1 of CWS

The Super Bowl is in mid February. You want month off before championship game?

Eyeballs and money. Usually no competition on tv and people are home to watch during the week.

People do shite on Saturdays. They know the college football fan will watch refs, but they are looking for the fringe fans to get more eyes on the game. Those fringe fans would rather go out and do something else on a Saturday. On Monday they are more likely to watch therefore more ad $$.

I agree with OP. It should be on Saturday. I think the Monday after a Super Bowl should be a National Holiday. Monday night games suck.

You are asking them to elevate your interests above their own financial interests? Also, the very fact that they get more money by having it on other days means that a plurality of people PREFER it that way.

Yeah, but College Football is traditionally played on Saturday and gets great ratings all year long. I hate they change that for the most important game of the season.

I agree with you but people like me and you aren’t who they are looking for in these games. They know we would watch if it’s a Tuesday at 9 am.
