There's out of state competition coming after GA talent, all the time.
Yeah, and Tech has no prayer of winning any battles for that talent. They are stuck with the scraps that 10 other programs didn’t want.

However, Tech can be invigorated. They were gaining in popularity under O'Leary, and they made UGa's life miserable for a while.
O’Leary’s last year at Tech was Saban’s 2nd year at LSU. They’re not equipped for today or the future. 3 Top 15 finishes over the last 30 years isn’t a sleeping giant, it’s just a bad program.

you have a generation of Georgians who forget that GT has ever been relevant
What about recent alumni and current students who simply do not care about the future of the program or athletics in general? It’s basically an East Coast Tulane. They are destined to remain among the poorest athletic departments and have no prayer in the age of NIL.

The right guy, with the right work ethic, can make GT an ACC powerhouse
Work ethic isn’t overcoming the disadvantages they have, and if they managed to show promise they’d be out the door quickly and Tech goes back to being a doormat.

Stanford will always carry extra weight to the nerds both schools are stuck with, less drama as a private school, not as tough a conference, and recent success proves you can win there. It’s the superior opening

If Stanford is not in the B1G round coming up its basically going to pull out to D3 sports

Its a fraction of a second of a decision away from being a zero

Thats not a good job for D1 football

Stanford does not allow transfers and even its own players have to leave as grad students because they can’t get in grad school.

It’s a horrible job, maybe the worst in P5, due to the new NIL/portal dynamic, based on winning potential.

It’s not the worst because it still pays a lot, but unless they make changes, it’s a complete dinosaur.

Same academic profile.

Not on any level is this a true statement. GT benefits from lesser standards as Stanford. So they at least have that.

Working at Stanford is like taking a 45% pay cut due to CA taxes and cost of living, especially in Palo Alto.

Ga Tech is the winner.

Gas in Atlanta right now is about $2.60/ga
In Palo Alto it's $5.00/ga
