Wall-E was praised by the critics (back when they weren't nothing more than paid shill activists doing the bidding of corporate conglomerates) and audiences alike as one of the most poignant and touching and human stories ever put into animation.
I distinctly remember going to see it after watching Ebert & Roeper (don't think Ebert was even on at the time as the show was in its last days on air) rave about the film and the audience word-of-mouth was insane.
That was also absolute peak Pixar, where every thing the puroduced was a beacon of creativity and delight.
Sure, it was mildly set agsinst a backdrop of human pollution and consumption, but that was in no way the focak point of the story and it didn't feel forced at all.
As for Strange World, you could pick up the dripping cultural Marxist/groomer vibes and red flags from the very first second. For a film to even be profitable on a $180M budget, it has to basically do $500-$600M at the box office.
At only $12M on a holiday weekend opening, this is going to go down as one of the biggest bombs in recent movie history. It probably won't even earn $100M total in the N American BO over its entire span.
Disney is in deep deep financial trouble from their film studio standpoint. You can't lose $400M+ multiple times and remain solvent. There's a reason their stock has lost so much value, and it ain't because people aren't going to their parks anymore... Because they still are... In droves.

I took the wife’s kids to see strange world and they/them really enjoyed it but we aren’t raising them in a house of hate like some of y’all. I didn’t realize the main character could show her penis so many times in a pg movie
