No reason to shoot iron sites. Just teaches a skill that they’ll never use.

In the bigger picture it's about marksmanship. A marksman can shoot well with and without a scope.

Shooting iron sights makes kids learn form better than starting with a scope. I made all my kids learn with iron sights before shooting a scoped rifle.
