Ummm. One team won the division while the other didn’t. UGA would have same number of top 10 wins as UT and one more overall win, plus head to head.
If UT makes it over UGA who would be punished for going to the championship game then the playoff committee is on crack.
Whether or not you like it, winning a division should mean something and more so your conference.

Oregon is not a top 10 team anymore.
Winning a division is just an accumulation of record; doesnt add anything by itself. Winning a conference title game is a higher stake game.
