So who benefits from an LSU win out? LSU and UT.

UGA only had two ranked opponents in their schedule, UT and Oregon, and Oregon has a second loss to a 2 loss Washington.

UT had 6 ranked opponents and lost to the No 1 ranked team.

LSU had 3 ranked opponents and lost to the then No 1 UT and the now No 19 FSU.

Results mean more as you progress through a season because you are expected to improve and be a better team. So LSUs FSU loss counts less and UGAs Oregon win count less.

Therefor, it is clear that the loser of the SECC is in third consideration for the playoffs from the SEC.

I’m really not following your comparison between Georgia and Tennessee. I just know it’s not accurate. After the SECCG, they both will have played LSU, the SEC East, and a mediocre ACC team. The only difference between the two will be that Tennessee played Alabama and Georgia played Oregon. Their schedule strength will be very comparable.

Agree and disagree.
It’s going to be a clusterfrick. LSU wins out, GA stood at #1 in CFP rankings all weeks except 1, then took it back over from the then #1 ranked team right after the week they got bumped. Tenn def has the most impressive SOS, and their only loss being to the #1 ranked team along with 5 wins over ranked opponents I agree SHOULD vault them. In this scenario LSU would then have 3 top 10 wins and two top 25 losses (based on rankings now). GA def has the least impressive actually of the 3 schools.

We all know that politics and WHO THEY wanna see in it plays a huge role. I just don’t see them bumping GA down below Tenn, being GA only loss would be to a top 6 ranked team.

You’ll hear arguments even for GA and Tenn to both make it to even if LSU wins out bc of the merit they don’t wanna drop GA out completely and they’ll argue Tenn beat the brakes off us at our house, and our argument is the most wins vs top 10 opponents and an SEC championship to boast with it.

Personally….if we win out…. LSU and GA make it and Tenn gets left out. Winner of Mich/Ohio St makes it and the other gets left out, and TCU only if they win out.

LSU winning out, TCU losing will throw it into a complete shitshow. This is where an expanded playoff would benefit college football

UT has 3 ranked opponents not 6. Ranking at the time of the matchup is utter garbage. Are you saying A&M should count as a ranked opponent for anyone?

Tennessee has played LSU, UGA and Bama. 3.

LSU has played FSU, UT, Bama, Ole Miss, and will play UGA. That is 5.

UGA has Oregon and UT. That’s it. 2.

In the end, stop trying to prop up UT who has literally beaten two good teams.

Just stop it... Georgia is the best team in the nation, and will be heavy favorites, as they should be. To win, we will have to play mistake free ball and get lucky at the right time. We need our best game, not that crap we rolled out at Arkansas.

Your logic doesn’t make sense and LSU has played more than 3 ranked teams….

FSU
UT
Bama

But not as strong as T and that is possibly what keeps LSU out even if we beat Ga. ST lost the fsu game and that is what could be our downfall....although I don't see anyone, including LSU, beating Ga.
