It's not that hard of a concept. Trump holds no punches and plays to win. With Desantis hinting at a 2024 run, and with Trump planning to run as well, he's not going to roll over no matter how much he may like Desantis. Do you remember the 2016 primary?

His judgement is and has always been terrible.
It’s one of the reasons DeSantis said Trump had no business being president.
