i tend to vote L vs republicans when the republicans are very shady or RINOy. Texas AG has a ton of legal issues currently and the L was more appealing. i appreciate a lot of the things he does from a MAGA perspective, but i try to avoid voting for somebody if i know they're in an active investigation or affair going on.
Abbott has some issues with how he handled COVID and I'm not a giant fan of Texas' abortion law and how it shaped up, but i'd give him a solid B+ and earned my vote.
in Texas, i had about 7 options to vote L instead of R and took 2 of them. My last D vote was Chet Edwards.
