As I read this post, I think of all the really loyal LSU fans who are no longer with us that never experienced the 2019 season and magical endings like last night. In particular I have to mention by name one of the greatest LSU fans I’ve known in my life who left us way too soon, Connie Kaplan. He owned the Kaplan Herald newspaper in Kaplan. LA, and I had the pleasure of attending some games with him in Tiger Stadium. The Kaplan Herald building was painted Purple and Gold. Forever LSU, Connie! Last night was for you and all the Tiger fans in the afterlife!

I think about that after every big game. My pawpaw died just a few days before the 2007 national championship game so he only got to see two LSU titles in his life - 1958 and 2003. Boy he sure has missed a lot.
