Absolutely agree.
I live out of state now, and get to attend very few games in Baton Rouge. I did attend the recent UGA game. Despite being played during the day, the crowd noise was very good. However, the folks who started streaming out of the stadium in the 3d quarter, with the game still in doubt ...
is this an indication that the rabid support has waned over the years, and piped in music is actually needed to keep up the noise level? Please tell me I'm wrong.

It was halftime and there were 80+ in the stands which is a HELL of a lot more than I thought would be there for a Tulane game.
By the way, when there are thousands of people singing Liviong on a prayer in unison, it sounds pretty damn cool.

I wish we stayed "all-natural" with the music than playing music over the loudspeakers. I, for one, also thinks this is Ghey!!! But then again, when the band has to take the field before halftime, I guess they don't play so they can save their energy for the halftime show???
Anyways, the point is if it's any song their gonna play on the loudspeakers, it should be the fight/cheer songs the band plays!!!!

I think this must have been a gradual thing because I noticed it at Miss state game but for some reason this game it was alllllllll the freaking time. I love the LSU band. They should be playing in between not that other crap. Love when they play hey hey baby. During the georgia game everyone was so down and out but the second the band starting playing hey hey baby everyone popped up and forgot about the score just for a few minutes.....brought a tear.

You're right, they played the garbage on the PA system in all 4 quarters with the band just sitting there most of the time.
I've always thought that only having the band play sets us apart from the other wannabes and is FAR AND AWAY a better atmosphere. I hate the NFL feel.
