Okay, folks. We surpassed my goal so I went ahead and ordered his new Christmas present with 2 years of GPS tracking service tonight.

I know a ton of people wanted to contribute and it’s much appreciated by James and Rico.

If more come in, we can put it aside for a vet check up or a custom collar with his name to put the gps unit on from tactipup. I also found a nice $50 discount from Tactipup so that helped as well.

Sorry for your loss
I could bore y’all for days with stories about my dogs, it doesn’t take long for them to become part of the family

I'd also wouldn't mind encouraging folks to donate to local rescue groups.
I'm most certain that they are all under added strains lately to inflation of food, vet bills, and relocation costs.
TIA

I read this thread like it was the script to Saving Private Ryan.

Bravo to all involved

As 2x dog owner, stories like this are the best.

I got him. He walked up to the car while I was in the field. Thank you guys so much. I wish I knew how to upload a picture but I seriously doubt I could have done this with out yall. Thank you all so much

This is now officially the thread of the year. Glad you got your boy back.

I sadly knew a girl who 2 months ago got in a wreck on an interstate outside Atlanta and her dog jumped out of the car. She chased after him and they were both hit and killed.

Not to downplay this thread at all, but there was once a time when the members of the Outdoor Board got together to raise over $100k for a board member's widow and family.

Even had our own lost dog adventure on the OB. Unfortunately it didn't end as happy as this story ended.

Does anyone have the initials KP? Please email me and I’ll give you the correct venmo @. It’s not assigned to my Proximo email.

I decided any more donations will be put toward a custom collar from Tactipup to house the GPS unit (it’s 1000x more sturdy, my boy Ranger has the same one).

We’re going to go with red lettering for Rico since his red harness maybe contributed to saving his life. Pandy mentioned that early on. Y’all dig the color scheme? Input?

I like the red & black

Do they have the option to put contact info on the inside?
