When they learn how to walk and talk. 18-36 months; they learn a lot in that time. By 4, they’re pretty self reliant. By 5, you’ll be wishing they weren’t so independent all the time.
Enjoy the ride. Of all the terrible advice I got from everyone, the fact that it flies by was the one good nugget.

Ive got a 16 month old, a 27 month old, and a 7 year old.
The little ones are in that phase where they are learning something it seems every other day. By the time they are 4, they will be self-sufficient just like their big sister was.
It may suck at times right now, but hold onto it as long as you can. It goes by so fricking fast. Enjoy it.

Someone told me with young kids "the days go by agonizingly slow, the years fly by incredibly too fast"
