Freshman Mom visiting during Alabama game. Can I get in on Death Valley tailgate?

Visiting from Maryland. Looking forward to a busy football visit while attending the Alabama game and the Ravens and Saints game. How can a newbie get in on tailgating in Death Valley? I hear it's epic! Any tips? Geaux Tigers!

The best tailgating is between the stadium and the parade grounds. Just wear a sign that says “I’m a yankee” and you will be offered plenty of food.

Um I'm a mom of a freshman. But there was a time I went back to school took two upper level classes online, had twin babies under 1, two aging parents as an only child, two other kids in remote school, all while working two full-time remote jobs during this thing called a pandemic. So yeah I'm a super mom that wears an invisible cape.

Is your kid ok with you tagging along at tailgates? I would do that. Else, just introduce yourself to various folks at tailgates. Wear a Maryland shirt or something if you want to get noticed. People are very friendly and want to share whatever they are cooking / drinking with you.

From your posts I think all you need to do is be yourself and there will be young men tripping over themselves to help you out. Hope your freshman loves showing you his/her new life. This retired gentleman fondly remembers his introduction to LSU life.
