I'm just a fan of good guitars, regardless of brand/builder, price, or any of the other pretensions surrounding an instrument.
I like big, boomy traditional dreadnoughts that project well so that obviously plays into my preferences quite a bit.
My go to guitars currently are a Martin D18 Custom Shop and a D28 herringbone style guitar that was built literally 30 minutes from my house by a local luthier.
I feel that Eastman gets a bad rap, especially by people who have never even owned/played one simply because they're manufactured in China. That said, I can't think of any other Chinese built guitar that I'd recommend, a lot of folks like Blueridge but they don't really appeal to me.
However, if someone chooses to write off a particular builder without even knowing anything about them, that is their prerogative and really only hurts them in the end.

Hey man, you're all into cheap labor, and think it's fine, as long as you get a good deal.
Go with it.
Better take my 100 dollar offer now.
