This is right, but Indonesia can surprise you depending on brand. I needed a new beater/spare bass and after reading a lot, I got a Harley Benton enhanced bass for about $250 (just over $300 with shipping).
While this is not nearly as nice as my US Fenders, it’s as good or better than a Mex Fender and blows the other Asian stuff away. I was shocked by how good this thing is at the price point.
