To create mismatches elsewhere on the field?

I say put Lacy on Ricks and Boutte in the slot, with BTJ and Jaray running crossing routes

The RB to his side on run plays with the pads directly in his chin every time.

Ummm... we will be on Offense. We will line up in whatever formation we want.
The Defense will react if they want Ricks on, say, Boutte.
Even if we put BTJ outside or boundary where we think Ricks will be, they can put him wherever they want him. Hell, we might find a matchup with him that we want for a play we want to run but Ricks blitzes instead of covers.
The Good Guys will just line up and run their plays no matter who is in front of them.
I'd wager Ricks will get his share of opportunities to get burned without us going after him.
Though a play planned to take advantage of his weaknesses that is successful will feel extra sweet.

Call me crazy, but since Ricks is a defensive player, I'm pretty sure Bama can line him up against whichever receiver they choose. Crazy concept, I know.

If there is a rule out there that lets offenses lock in a DB match-up, let me know asap because I've got some great ideas for Denbrock.

There's footage of BTJ burning Eli at practice last year.

Usually it’s the defense that sets up the matchup not the offense. You can do certain things to maybe cause some switching but if the defense wants a DB on a certain guy no matter where he is he will be on that guy.

Let’s not forget ricks is no scrub, I’m sure saban wants to embarrass LSU by having the previous player make plays on LSU.

It’s wild that Ricks hasn’t sniffed the field all year, the game before LSU he’s inserted into the lineup, and completely shuts his side of the field down.

The storylines

I’d LOVE to see Mason Taylor catch a short flat or crossing route, with Ricks trying to square him up! Images of Fournette trucking players!

Watching BTJ abuse this guy on jump ball after jump would be really satisfying.
