If 3 plays go differently, we win 45-14.

I honestly don’t know why a supporter would downplay a win. Like, are you trying to talk yourself into staying miserable? We won. We were clearly better. We are capable of excellence. LET’S GEAUX!

Is it okay if we talk about the implications of beating Ole Miss also, or do you think it helps the actual players for the fans to prohibit all conversation save the nearest game?

Ok now I see you’re just either 14 or unstable.

I watch the games and enjoy them. I’m also not blind. Yes I enjoyed watching the win and it’s never bad to beat Florida.

I also didn’t go to bed thinking this team is about to win the National championship

WHAT IS WRONG WITH US?

The original post has 22 downvotes, and 1 upvote.

Are you downvoting because you don’t want to win the rest?
Are you downvoting because you don’t think we’d be in consideration for the playoffs?
Are you downvoting because you prefer being miserable and forecasting losses?

Hey man, realistically and objectively we will likely not win all the rest of the games on our schedule. I get that.

But there is a chance, and it’s not negligible, that we win the next 5. It could actually happen.

Why would you not want to consider that possibility?

Okay but this is a hypothetical. You’re certain we’ll lose another?

I mean a lot of us were certain that Daniels was worse than Jennings and that we wouldn’t win another SEC game.

You’re quoting Red in Shawshank Redemption.

I’d like to point out to you that the climax of this movie emphatically showed that hope was the most important and best thing. Eventually, even Red realizes it.

Red was wrong when he said that.

Arkansas and A&M should be easy wins.

Or else losses. Some people never learn. Last week it was, “Looking at the schedule, it’s hard to see how we become bowl eligible.” This week, we are winning the natty.

I didn’t say we were winning the natty.

I said, what if we win the rest. It’s a hypothetical.

We could win the next 5 and find ourselves in Atlanta. It’s not unfathomable and we control our destiny. We are literally HALF WAY there, but many of us won’t even consider it. You’d rather be snarky and miserable.

I really think that we will win the West and we could definitely beat Georgia in ATL, I don’t think we could beat Tennessee, unless it’s 2007 and 2001 all over again.

Five Thirty Eight Projections

Again, I admit that it is improbable that we win out. However. It is not impossible. FIve Thirty Eight has us as a 4% chance to win the SEC, so one would surmise perhaps 10% or so to make the SEC CG.

Also, IF we were to win out. We have a 90% chance of making the playoff.

Contrast that with the current plight of Texas A&M, who have a 0% chance of making the playoffs EVEN IF THEY WIN OUT.

We would be in the conversation for a playoff berth.

If we win out.

Let's tap the brakes.....that was a great win over FL, but this team isn't going to any playoffs....Id say that 3-2 would be a great finish....

The rant is the most entertaining place on the internet. After a loss we aren’t even going to be bowl eligible. After a win we’re undefeated rest of way and in the national championship.

I would argue that a 3-2 finish would be merely acceptable at this point, given what we saw last night. “Great” would be to finish 5-0. That’s great.

You’re saying that we lose our two remaining conference home games and you consider that great? Come on, man. Use your imagination! Great is accomplishing something! Losing to an above average Ole Miss and a flawed Alabama team is not great by any stretch of the definition at LSU.
