And to be clear, though I like Napier, had you given me a choice of Napier or Kelly I’d have taken Kelly without hesitation. But once the Lincoln Riley smoke passed I wasn’t enamored with the choices that were supposedly on the list.

I think in 3-4 years I’ll still be happy we took Kelly. But it’s only an issue on this board because it was created here. His name was brought up by guys who think he’d have done well here. The issue came when the name calling and insults started. Not the place to come for honest debate. The fervor was created by the myopic anti-Napier segment who just spouted off with no knowledge of the coaching landscape. There is a reason multiple SEC teams pursued Napier over the years and a program of Florida’s stature targeted him aggressively.

Anyhow if those who don’t like Napier think some of use were tiresome with our analysis of Napier, let me tell you how tiresome it is and apparently will continue to be to see his name in threads for years to come when it’s about a dead issue as it could be.
