Tennessee was giving up the short passes easily ALL game.

More like they were baiting us into throwing them. They were playing a few years off the line on the outside, but they still had all 11 guys within a 10 yard box. When we threw screens or short passes, they rallied to the ball and were right there to shut down significant YAC yards.

He also, let everyone know that JD got 150 yards passing late in 2nd half when TN had backed off and was letting him have the short passes easily , Or did you NOT HEAR THAT?

Did anyone mention that JD was sacked 5 times and TFL 9?

Daniels did indeed look a lot better against Tennessee. In fact, if he fixed three plays I’d say he had a very good game. The first play was hitting Boutte on that crossing route. The second was unleashing the bomb to Boutte on that play that was much discussed on here. The third was the 3rd and two in Florida territory earl in the game. It was two receivers on three defenders, one being a high safety. It was simple: read the safety and throw to the one he doesn’t cover. The safety wisely chose the deep route, and the guy running the 15 yard out off the slant was going to come open. Daniels never threw it.

If he executed those three play tThat’s two TDs and a drive into the red zone. Hit those and we likely win the game.

He threw about four or five really nice passes, including a beautifully timed ten and out and some nice crossing patterns. He needs more consistency on his passes, and he still needs to let it fly instead of running.

I agree with Kelly. Daniels is taking an agonizingly long time to get there, but he is improving. He has to keep doing it. Stay the course, for now.

As far as frustrating QB’s don’t forget B Harris. He and JJ were painful to watch. JD has better speed than both but his drop backs are very JJ and BH like. I hope it clicks too for JD but if not he needs to sit and let someone else take their shot.

You are clueless if you think this guy is anywhere close to Jefferson.
Daniels has a lot of deficiencies but come on now. Jj getting over 150 yards a game was rare. Dude was horrible.

We can win this game with 300+ yrds passing - 150+ rushing, if we get decent def./ST play.

But JD got 180 yds passing when it counted down 14-0 with 2 Oline starters out and no running game. I saw improvement there but still missing some opportunities and need to take more deep shots. Either he takes a big step today or they need to give more PT to Nuss and Howard. I think as the Oline improves we will see more of that.
