Racial tensions in the leadership hierarchy — at least in the enlisted ranks — were practically non-existent. We were taught in Boot Camp that there were two colors in the Marine Corps, light green and dark green.
Now, it appears everything is increasingly racialized and/or sexualized to the detriment of common bonds and unit cohesion. Everything progs touch turns to sh*+.

What you said was spot on. I speak with Marines every chance I get at airports and it's surprising how much their training and the Esprit de Corps culture has changed. fricking sad!
