Explain this to me like I am 7

Running game was very bad. Passing game was ok but lacked any explosive plays. Poor success rate on 3rd and 4th down and poor red zone conversion percentage.

Basically, without explosive plays you need to put together drives with multiple 3rd/4th down conversions. We did not convert.

We did a good job of limiting UT explosive plays but they converted on 3rd/4th and in the red zone.

Not any worse than Tennessee

3rd down efficiency
Tenn 7-16
LSU 7-15

and 4th down

That was bad.

4th down efficiency
Tenn 3-3
LSU 0-3

poor red zone conversion percentage.

That was also bad. 4 trips to the redzone. 2 TDs, one turnover on downs and 1 interception
