IMO the coaches took a "swing for the fences" mentality into the game - go for broke or go home broke. It manifested in the couple of overly- aggressive 4th down calls that we didn't make.
Couple that with the opening kick TO to be down immediately 7-0 and it turns into a rout.
You figure if you lose by 4 or by 40 it doesn't matter. But if you hit those aggressive plays, you probably win.
I have no problems with it and understand what happens when you push too hard and it backfires. It means nothing outside of 1 game and it's gameplan didn't work out.
Tip your hat to the opponent and move on.

Completely agree and said so before the game started. I was more so talking about Daniels taking shots downfield, but I said I’d rather lose by 40 trying to win than lose by 14 with no real chance, just trying to keep it close.

That's a fair breakdown and unfortunately that doesn't exactly inspire confidence
We approached the game like we couldn't compete

It was the polar opposite of Orgeron against bama on 2018
I think we could have waited until the second half to go crazy though
