2 most important traits for a QB according to the greatest coaches

1) decision making
2) accuracy
How does Jayden Daniels score in these 2 areas? I’ll answer for you. He gets an F.
If you are insistent that he is your QB, then run a Nick Marshall Auburn offense. If not, nothing will change. Square peg in a round hole. It is so damn obvious. It’s really insanity. Also keeping doing the same thing and expecting a different result slows down the progression of the offense going into next season and beyond. It’s obvious this season won’t end with us reaching any significant goals, so why keep forcing something that obviously won’t work. Put in Nuss because he is better skilled to run the offense you want to run and bring in Daniels like the Saints did yesterday with Taysom Hill. If Nuss sucks when given the opportunity then we know he isn’t an option for next year and we can just ride with Walker Howard in 2023.

Agreed
Which is why I don't fault Daniels
I blame 100% on the coaching staff

I'm definitely no Daniels fan; however, he threw some nice passes in tight windows last Saturday. But...IMO,, he's not an SEC QB. Then again, he's working in a terrible offensive scheme.

If this is your opinion and he’s the best we’ve got right now, what does that say about the other QBs… save WH?

He's spent 3 years at Arizona state not developing accuracy or decision making skills. Who's fault is it now?

Some of you only want to dwell on the poor choices, discounting his tuck and runs for good yardage and first downs. So I rate it as a B.
Accuracy is not consistent so that would be a C-.
Overall grade B- or C+.

There’s collective fault. Singling out one player, when passes are dropped, blocks missed and yes, throws not always made is nonsense.
The whole operations and execution must be better

What would you like to see them do scheme wise?

It’s a scheme that doesn’t match his skill set. He’s got some skill. The coaches are asking him to run a scheme that doesn’t match his skills. I feel bad for him honestly.
I chose not to play high school football because my high school ran the wing t. I grew up playing qb and was actually pretty good as a passer but I knew I would have sucked in the wing t, so I avoided that and am glad I didn’t waste my time.

ASU'S Coaching under Edwards could be accurately described as inept. It's a double edged sword faulting anyone if Daniels didn't have the skill set to develop to begin with. That's talent evaluation and more likely a promise by Edwards to allow Daniels to play QB in order to get him to ASU. Doesn't absolve Kelly from the fact that he thought Daniels was the best he could get out of the Portal.

For one, base out of a 3x1, add more rpos, incorporate the shuffle pass option into zone reads and I’d like for us to attack matchups better.
Why wasn’t Emery split out on a linebacker and sent on a wheel route at least once? Josh Williams isn’t the correct player for that.
Basically Denbrock should adjust his scheme for the talent and not make the talent fit his system. Yes he likes TEs but we’re loaded at WR so you must adjust.
The best OCs build scheme around their players and to mask deficiencies. Heupel’s system allows them to compete with more talented teams, with spacing, quick decisions and hyper speed. They don’t need better players, just better executions and conditioning. Their scheme is clear and you know what’s coming but can’t stop it.
Nobody can say that for us or what our identity is

Coaches are sacrificing those two things for him not turning over the ball and keeping drives alive.
In all honesty, Kelly and company are wasting this season’s value with JD at QB. He won’t be a starter on an sec championship caliber team and you are not getting any development for either Nuss or Howard.
As a fan with tempered expectations for this season, I want to see the young QBs develop not a one and done QB that won’t help this team in the future. It’s that simple. It isn’t about JDs effort cause the kid is trying his best. He’s just not meant to be a top tier QB. Arm talent doesn’t make you a QB.

If they think Daniels is the best we have then I’m ok as they see the QBs every day. But great coaches adjust to the skill sets of their players. Especially at QB. QB is the one position in all of sport that determines the outcome of a football season.

Daniels will not come off the field unless he gets injured, CBK has made this clear

It's tough to be effective with this as there's so many defensive players within 10 yards of the LOS and Daniels shys away from those tight window throws.

I definitely agree with this, they are forcing the ball to Taylor a lot.

Couldn’t have said it better
It’s on the coaches to put players in the best position. Now if they don’t execute that’s another discussion
We all can agree, the coaching must be better. If a guy or players can’t do what you’re asking him/them to do over and over then, it’s on the coaches to give them something they can execute.
As Kelly said, these are the guys we have this year. No one is walking through that door in 2022

and he’s the best we’ve got right now
If you are building a program, like Kelly supposedly is, and you have a 4th year guy who is, let's say, a 6 out of 10.
I would rather play a freshman that is a 4 or 5 out of 10. Maybe he's not the best you've got, but he's better for the long term health of your program.
And that 6 out of 10 was very generous. He's actually horrible.
